Four Awesome Popular Travel Destinations You Can Visit Now

Travel is good for the soul, as well as the mind.  Experiencing new things, seeing new parts of the world, and getting to places you’ve never been before are some of the most alluring parts of life.

Travel is a bit challenging in 2020, with the coronavirus pandemic all but eliminating travel options for most of the country–and for the world. But as some of the nation’s tourist attractions begin to reopen, you can rest assured that the most popular tourism destinations are taking great care to ensure  your safety.

From constant cleaning to mandatory masks, the most popular tourist destinations are making serious efforts to keep you safe so you’ll keep coming back.

Here are some of those destinations you might enjoy:

1. Orlando, Florida

There’s SO much to say about Orlando! With a presence from all of the major theme park companies, plus many you may not have heard of, Orlando is the theme park capital of the world. It’s also a significant destination because of its tropical climate that is warm year-round, it’s proximity to both Atlantic and Gulf Coast beaches, and the countless activities and attractions that draw people to Central Florida.

No one can describe Orlando without mentioning Disney and its four Disney World parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood studios.  Orlando is also home to Universal Studios, and its sister park Islands of Adventure.  Seaworld has a park here as well, and all three have major water parks:  Disney’s Blizzard Beach, Universal’s Volcano Bay, and Seaworld’s Aquatica.   You’ll also find smaller amusement parks like Fun Spot, Gatorland and the nearby Legoland, as well as world-class attractions up and down International Drive.

Orlando expects a difficult recovery from the coronavirus impact, and there are some great travel deals available.  Click here for some very nice but affordable accommodations.

2. Las Vegas, NV

If Orlando is too family-friendly for your tastes, Las Vegas is like a massive theme park specifically for adults.  Each of the major resorts is like a theme park all unto itself, whether it’s the insane rollercoasters high atop New York New York or the elegant dancing fountains outside the Bellagio, Las Vegas has something for everyone.

Known for its gambling, women and high-rolling nightlife, Las Vegas is where you want to be if you want non-stop excitement and sinful pleasures.  There are some great deals to be had in Vegas, too, if you know where to look, and you can land some incredible luxury accommodations that won’t set you back as much as a night at the craps tables.  Here are some great travel certificates we found that you might enjoy.

3. Gatlinburg, TN

Want to slow things down a little, get some fresh mountain air and relax in a slower way of life?  Gatlinburg and nearby Pigeon Forge may be exactly what you’re looking for.  Nestled deep in the Blue Ridge portion of the Appalachian mountains, Gatlinburg gives you easy access to countless nature trails, hiking opportunities and wildlife sightings in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, as well as great wintertime skiing at Ober Gatlinburg.  Visit in the fall for breathtaking views of changing leaves that you will never forget.

Like many other tourist areas, Gatlinburg is working hard to get visitors back to the area as the coronavirus lockdown restrictions begin to lift.  While there are some real dives in the east Tennessee mountains, there are also some amazing and luxurious resorts.  Here are some good travel deals to get you to Gatlinburg.

4. Myrtle Beach, SC

Maybe you enjoy the Southern lifestyle and that adorable Southern drawl, but the mountains aren’t your thing.  If you’d prefer a moonlight walk on the beach, Myrtle Beach may be right up your alley.  Commercialized, but not overly so, Myrtle Beach offers you a perfect balance of serene Southern charm and exciting tourist attractions.  Shopping and entertainment options along the Grand Strand are coming back to life after the COVID lockdowns, too, so you’ll find a lot to do and often at deep discounts.

If you’re ready to book a Myrtle Beach getaway, beware of the timeshare presentations. Timeshare is relatively new to Myrtle Beach, so the incentives are sometimes too good to be true.  Here are some legitimate, non-timeshare travel offers we found that can get you to the beach for less.
